I'm pretty sure the Gawker sites don't patrol each other's comments and ban people, and FWIW I think it was clearly a joke (not even sexist or punching down IMO, you were making fun of the type of person who would make their SO go out in the cold and it was funny) and totally not a bannable offense. That seems odd. I'very seen people get banned, but it almost always has a short statement as a reply, or even just a 'bye'. I got banned by Daulerio once, and it came with a full diatribe, eventually.

But it looks like Matt noticed, so you'll at least get an explanation.

Yes, but very poor customer support. My dad sent a complaint to Honda corporate about the problems he's been having with his Fit, and they didn't even respond.

Also, the Fit is subpar.

That seems pretty tame, it isn't even a joke in the same realm as chaining her to the kitchen stove or something :P The world is overly sensitive now, you know you can also say something pretty normal asking a question and someone in the .00000001% has some problem. i09 was talking about writing "they" instead of he or she so it didn't offend anyone or label them, gosh what would we do if someone had a sex!? Like, I have chosen to be a non sexual person that cross dresses while being macrobiotic but doesn't want to be identified as the sex that they dress in... blah blah. I see nothing wrong with keeping your wife's feet warm should she choose to go outside and start a car. Its all a mystery, I have been lurking here since Murilee was writing here and it has gotten tighter and tighter. Sorry I vented a bit.
